EPC = earnings per click

The number is only shown once there is enough data. Historical earnings are not a guarantee of your results. The rate and the cookie window can always be seen on the program.

How to choose an affiliate program

The rate is the first thing you see – but rarely what decides what you earn. Use the four questions here before you join. If you are new, start with the guide to affiliate marketing, and if you want to compare networks, read how to choose an affiliate network.

Choose by audience, not by rate

A program paying 8% at a store your readers actually buy from earns more than 20% at a store they have never heard of. Start with the products you already write about or recommend.

Look at EPC – earnings per click

EPC combines rate, conversion and basket size in one number. The catalogue shows the measured EPC from the network’s own clicks and sales when a program has enough data – rejected sales and test sales do not count.

Check the cookie window and the approval

The cookie window decides how long a click can earn commission. Sales are approved after the program’s period of 30–90 days – typically the store’s return period. Both are shown on every program card.

Read the rules before you create links

Every program has its own terms: whether paid search on the store’s name is allowed, whether coupon sites may be used, and which channels are open. The program page shows them, and the rate is locked on the click, so a later reduction does not affect traffic you have already sent.

Questions about affiliate programs

What is an affiliate program?

An affiliate program is a web shop’s agreement to pay commission for sales that come via your link. You recommend the store on your site, in a newsletter or on social media, and when a customer buys, you get a percentage of the sale or a fixed amount.

Does it cost anything to become an affiliate?

No. Creating an account and joining programs is free. The stores pay the commission and the network fee.

Do I have to apply to join a program?

No. The programs on Affilyflow are open: you join with one click and can create links straight away. In return, each program has rules for channels, paid search and coupon sites that you must follow.

When do I get my money?

A sale is approved after the program’s approval period of 30–90 days. Approved commission is paid out automatically on the first banking day of the month when the balance is at least DKK 100.

Why are there not more programs in the catalogue?

A program only appears once the store has a website and its tracking is confirmed. That way you never create links to a program that cannot record your sales. The catalogue grows as stores become ready.

Can I use Affilyflow if I do not have a website?

Yes. You can share links in newsletters, on social media or in videos, as long as the program’s rules allow the channel. A site does, however, give the best measurement of which pages sell.
