Tracking with the Affilyflow app and a Web Pixel – no code and no changes to your theme.

View as Markdown

On Shopify, tracking runs through the Affilyflow app. The app turns tracking on with a Web Pixel, so you never touch your theme, and changing theme breaks nothing.

How the app works

  • No code. The app is the whole installation – no scripts in the theme and nothing to type in.
  • Your account. Installing the app creates your Affilyflow account for you. If you already have an account, you connect it in the app with a six-digit code from the dashboard.
  • Your price. You choose the commission in the app.
  • The test link. In the app you create a real tracking link to your own shop and go through the click, the purchase and the recorded sale yourself. The test sale costs nothing and is credited to a system account, so your affiliate figures are not affected.
  • Currency. Sales in any currency with a daily ECB exchange rate are recorded and converted to Danish kroner at the rate at the time of the sale. Balance, commission and payouts are settled in Danish kroner today.

If you already have an account

Connect the account before you choose the commission and make the test purchase:

  1. Open the app under Apps → Affilyflow in your Shopify admin.
  2. Press Already have an Affilyflow account?. The app opens a page on our site with a six-digit code.
  3. Enter the code in the app. The app then uses the account you are logged in with.

If you skip this, the app creates a separate account for the Shopify store, and your sales and balance end up in two places.

Good to know

  • The commission base. Commission is calculated on the value of the goods after discount, excluding shipping.
  • Refunds. The app does not reject a refunded purchase by itself. You need to reject a refunded order yourself within the approval period – see Approval and refunds.
  • Starter credit. Accounts created by the app do not receive the starter credit.
  • Visibility. Your program becomes visible to affiliates once the app has reported that the pixel is active.
